Chapter 18: A New Beginning

The light dissipated, and Lumis and Eili found themselves in a space that was hard to describe. It was neither a place nor a time—only an endless void, trembling with possibilities. The air, if it could be called that, was filled with a quiet whisper, as if the very atoms were murmuring the future.

— Where are we? — Lumis asked, gazing into the boundless whiteness.
Eili squeezed his hand.

— I think this is a place where everything begins.

Suddenly, figures appeared before them, formed from translucent light.

They resembled humans but were ephemeral, like reflections in water. One of the figures stepped closer, holding a sphere that glowed with a soft golden light.

— You have shattered the old order, — the figure said in a voice that was both gentle and powerful. — And now you must create a new one.

— How? — Lumis asked, looking at the sphere.

— You are the first. Your choices will shape the form of the new world. But remember: any world that you create will be a reflection of your hearts.

Eili leaned closer to the sphere.

— Can we create something truly new? Or will it be just another illusion?
The figure remained silent, simply holding the sphere before them.

— Illusion or reality is the choice of the creator, — it finally answered.

Lumis felt doubts and hope wrestling within him. His hand trembled as he touched the sphere. In that moment, images flashed before his eyes: fields, forests, mountains, cities, people laughing and crying. He saw an infinite number of possibilities, yet each one carried consequences.

— I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake, — he whispered, pulling his hand back.

Eili approached him, placing her hand on his shoulder.

— We are not alone. We can create this world together.

She touched the sphere, and the first outlines of a new world began to form before them. The ground beneath their feet became firmer, the sky above sparkled with colors that changed and shimmered, as if being born for the first time.

— What do you want to see in this world? — Eili asked.

Lumis pondered.

— Freedom. But true freedom, without shadows and fear.

Eili nodded.

— Then we will create a world where time is no longer a prison.

With each word they spoke, the new world began to take shape. Mountains rose, rivers started to flow, and trees stretched their branches toward the sky.

Yet, inside Lumis, a feeling of unease lingered.

— What if we make a mistake? — he asked as the first outlines of a city appeared before them.

— We will surely make mistakes, — Eili replied, gazing at the horizon. — But it will be our choice, and we will always be able to start again.

The world around them came to life. The wind touched their faces, birds sang somewhere in the distance, and the sun appeared in the sky, shining with warm and tender light.

— This is just the beginning, — Eili said, turning from the horizon to Lumis. — But now everything depends on us.
Lumis nodded.

— And on those who will come after us.

The light of the sphere dimmed, merging with the new reality they had created. Now they stood in a world that had no laws yet, but already held the potential for true freedom.
