Chapter 21. Between Worlds

After crossing the threshold into a world that was only just beginning to take shape, the space around the heroes began to grow increasingly heavy and intricate. It seemed as though this new world was filled with invisible threads binding its parts together, but these threads did not adhere to familiar laws—they pulled and repelled, like magnets interacting according to unknown principles.

Antem, leading their journey, watched how every step they took became increasingly burdensome, and the dawn above them seemed to dissolve into infinity. This was the moment when the very space itself ceased to be merely a backdrop and became an active participant in their journey. The deeper his thoughts and internal struggles delved into the path they had chosen, the more he questioned whether they could truly find balance between what they had created and what already existed.

“What if this world is too vast for us?” he asked quietly, more to himself than to the others. He knew the answer was far from simple. Yet his inner conviction that they were on the right path prevented any doubts from clouding his mind.

Ayna, walking beside him, paused, listening to what Antem had said. She felt each change in the air, in this world, and her intuition was so sharp that even the invisible threads of time and space could be sensed with a touch. She did not reply immediately, lowering her gaze to the ground as she pondered.

“This world has no limits in the usual sense,” she said after a pause, her voice soft but profoundly resonant. “But we need not fear that. We create the boundaries for ourselves. Whatever we do, this world will remain intricately connected to us. We must find the path that allows our choices to have a place in infinity.”

Tarik, who had remained silent until then, spoke with a calm yet deeply perceptive tone. “We are becoming part of something much greater than we ever imagined. But we must understand that behind every decision we make lies great responsibility. We are not only changing this world; we must learn to live in it.”

Lumis, who had been reflecting on Tarik’s words, looked out across the land. He had always felt the need for a clear plan to ensure they did not lose direction. Though he understood that something boundless lay before them, he could not shake the thought that such infinite space could consume them if they were not careful.

“How will we define our limits?” he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty. “This world is unlike any we have known. Can we avoid losing ourselves within it?”

Ayna, understanding the gravity of the moment, stepped closer to him. “We need not search for boundaries in the things that surround us. We must find the limits within ourselves. Only then can we adapt to this world and become part of it.”

She fell silent, her gaze drifting to the distance, where the lines of the horizon blurred into indistinct forms, ever-shifting.

“We have already become part of this world,” she added. “Now we must give it space to grow, just as we must grow alongside it.”

And while each of them knew their journey had only just begun, they no longer feared the unknown. They had already become part of this endless fabric of the world, and together, they were meant to shape their own reality. This meant they had to learn to live in harmony with what had yet to be fully defined.
