Chapter 18: The Last Key

As the Creators stepped forward, the world around them trembled. The Last Key hovered in the air, radiating a soft, almost ethereal light. It was not merely a source of energy—it was the knot of all possible futures, intertwined like the roots of the oldest tree in the Eternal Garden.

This is not just a key… It is a decision, — whispered Emiren.

A decision that will determine the fate of time, — added Watery.

And perhaps, our own fate as well, — Empty concluded.

A Touch of Infinity

When Emiren reached out to grasp the Key, his mind exploded with thousands of visions. He saw every possible version of the future:

A world where the Eternal Garden flourishes, and the Creators become its wise guardians.

A reality where the Garden perishes, and with it—all threads of time.

A universe in which they never existed, where time flows on its own, free from any interference.

His fingers had not yet touched the Key, but he already felt that this choice would change everything.

We must decide together, — he said, pulling back.

Flamen stepped forward next. His eyes reflected the burning stars of a thousand futures, and he saw:

A world engulfed in war, where time had become a weapon and the Creators—its masters.

A future where time dissolved, and everything existed at once—chaos and freedom in a single moment.

A moment of absolute stillness, where no one could change time anymore.

He stepped back.

This is not just a choice. It is a responsibility.

Empty, silently observing, finally stepped forward and allowed the Key’s light to touch his shadow. And he saw:

A reality where he never existed, and nothing had changed.

A future where he became the sole guardian of time, and remained alone.

A world where time had stopped, and all became part of its stillness.

His voice was quiet but firm:

Whatever we choose—this will be irreversible.

Three Paths

Before the Creators, three doors appeared—each leading to a different future.

1. The Door of Creation—a choice that would allow them to govern time, preserve the Eternal Garden, and shape the flow of the future.

2. The Door of Dissolution—a choice in which they would relinquish their power, allowing time to exist independently, without the Creators.

3. The Door of Stillness—a moment where time would cease to flow, and everything would become eternal, unchanging.

We cannot go back, — said Watery.

And we cannot avoid the choice, — added Flamen.

So let us decide together, — Emiren concluded.

They looked at one another. Each had their own vision of the future. But only together could they open the door that would determine the fate of the Eternal Garden—and of all time itself.
