Chapter 10: The Price of Balance

The Fabric of the World Cracks

Emiren stood at the edge of two worlds, feeling the fabric of reality itself crack under their pressure. Everything around him was spinning, dividing time into countless possible variations, each of which required a sacrifice. The Island of Time, which he had always considered stable, became unstable, like a living organism fighting for its existence.

“This is not just a choice,” said the Watery Being, glancing at the circle that formed the boundary of the two realities. “This will be either a rupture or a union. All is broken harmony. We must find balance.”

Shadows of the Past and Future

With each step, they approached the center of the circle. In their souls, the voices of those who had already made their choice and those who were yet to decide resonated. The remnants of all possible worlds were in their hearts, images—fuzzy, indistinct, but so important.

“We have no time,” whispered the Empty One. “Time itself no longer exists. It is tearing itself apart.”

Moments of Uncertainty

On the other side of the circle, flashes of light appeared—new worlds, new forms of existence that had not yet taken shape but were just beginning to manifest. All these worlds were so close that they could be felt, but not fully understood.

“What will happen if we choose the wrong path?” asked Flamen, stepping forward and looking at the dark flashes that hung in the air.

“If we do not make a choice, everything will be destroyed,” replied Emiren. “If we do not do this now, we will lose everything we’ve fought for.”

The Power of Choice

In every movement, there was risk. The choice could not be postponed—every moment mattered, every word could change the course of events. The being standing before them looked at them with eyes that reflected millions of possible futures.

“Do you want to change everything, or just preserve what you have?” asked the Being.

“We want to create something new,” replied Emiren, feeling his heart fill with determination. “We want to change the very essence of what is, so that we can live not in the constraints of the old, but in the endless flow of new possibilities.”

The Price of Choice

“Then you must make your sacrifice,” said the Being. “To make room for the new, you must take a part of what is, even if it will be painful.”

Emiren looked at his companions. He knew that their path was not over, and the price of choice would be great. But he also knew that without change, nothing new could be created.

“We are ready,” he said, and his voice sounded firm for the first time.

After these words, the circle around them began to shine even brighter. The rift between the worlds shrank, and before them appeared a new reality. But what they had to leave behind left a mark on their souls—an irreversible loss they could not forget.

The Judgement Path

They stepped forward. With each step, they felt the world that had once seemed unchanging begin to dissolve around them, transforming into a new space where time became more flexible and open to change.

The choice was made. Now, they had to become part of the new world, where reality would no longer be as it once was. And though it brought sacrifices, their determination and desire for new possibilities helped open a new reality, where the two Eternities were meant to coexist.

The time for change had come.
