Chapter 25: The Rewriters of Fate

Emiren took a step forward.

His fingers trembled as he reached out toward the ancient scroll hovering in the air before him. The symbols engraved upon its surface shifted with every passing moment, as if even Time itself could not remain still here, in its very heart.

Flamen watched intently as the ring of fire before him pulsed, each flicker containing echoes of events yet to unfold.

The Hollow stood motionless, sensing how the invisible fabric of existence coiled around him, ready to unravel at the slightest misstep.

The three who determined the laws were waiting.

The choice is yours, — the silver-haired one spoke. — But remember: whatever you choose will become the foundation of everything that follows.

One must be sure that the choice is right, — added the fiery one.

And that you can bear its consequences, — finished the shadowed one.

Understanding the Limits

Emiren stared at the scroll, and with each heartbeat, he understood more and more that this was not just a text. It was the very essence of Time, its foundation, its inevitability.

If he rewrote it—what would change?

What happened before? — he asked. — Have there been others who tried to change the laws before us?

The silver-haired figure nodded.

There have been. And each left their mark on reality. But not all survived the consequences.

Some vanished into their own changes, lost among the possibilities of what they could have done but did not, — explained the fiery one.

And some became part of Time itself, with no choice, no ability to exist beyond its boundaries, — added the shadowed one.

Flamen clenched his teeth.

So every person who altered the laws paid for it with their life?

Or with something even more precious than life, — replied the silver-haired one.

The Burden of Responsibility

Emiren felt the weight of this decision settling upon his shoulders.

He could rewrite Time, but did he have the right to?

What if I simply add a new rule? — he asked.

The fiery one smiled, but there was sorrow in his eyes.

Adding is also a change. One rule alters the others, and what seems like a small detail can become a chain of events impossible to stop.

Any interference creates new possibilities you cannot predict, — added the shadowed one.

The Hollow remained silent, but his eyes were focused.

I see that you think differently, — the silver-haired one addressed him. — You do not wish to change; you wish to destroy?

The Hollow slowly nodded.

If Time has such limits, perhaps they should be erased? Maybe chaos is better than the endless repetition of the same mistakes?

Chaos offers no choice, — the silver-haired one objected.

Chaos takes away the ability to create, — added the fiery one.

But chaos is the only thing without rules, — said the shadowed one, and there was a hint of doubt in his voice.

A Decision That Changes Everything

Emiren knew the moment of choice had arrived.

Before him lay three paths:

1. Rewrite the laws and create a new order.

2. Leave everything as it is, accepting the current Time.

3. Destroy the laws and surrender reality to chaos.

Flamen looked at him.

What will you choose?

Emiren felt the scroll pulsing beneath his fingers.

The answer was already inside him.

He made his choice.
