Lumis awoke as the first rays of dawn cautiously seeped through the translucent walls of his dwelling. In this world, nothing was stable—houses, landscapes, even the time of day changed, adapting to the moods of its inhabitants. Today, his home looked like a wide, airy shell with a pearlescent glow, shimmering like the surface of calm water.

His dwelling was created for him, just as everything else in this world was. It sensed his needs: as soon as Lumis got up, a small table with fruits emerged from the floor. Lumis easily picked one of the fruits, resembling a round crystal, and savored its flavor—a combination of sweet orange and refreshing mint.
His bright gray eyes radiated curiosity and life. He moved effortlessly around the room, his movements filled with a lightness that reflected the nature of the world itself. His dark chestnut hair fell in waves, illuminated by the morning light, and his smile was natural and sincere.
The view from the window was breathtaking: an endless expanse filled with floating platforms, each living its own life. Some were covered in carpets of green forests, others sparkled like crystals, and some transformed shapes as if they were breathing. On certain platforms, towers rose like clusters of light, ascending higher than the clouds.
This world was filled with beauty, yet it remained mysterious. Why didn’t the platforms fall? Why was there nothing constant? Lumis often heard stories that this place was a reflection of the thoughts and feelings of its inhabitants, but who created it and why—no one spoke of such things.
He had always felt himself part of this harmony. Life seemed perfect, almost carefree. But recently, questions had arisen that he could no longer ignore. What lies beyond the visible? What holds all these platforms together? And does this world have a past?
Today was the day when these questions felt more important than the usual tranquility. Lumis felt a new strength in his chest—a desire to explore the world not only through its beauty but also through its mystery.
He stepped onto the threshold of his home. Directly in front of him stretched a bridge, resembling lace woven from shining crystals. It led to the neighboring platform, where one of the tall towers stood. These towers had always attracted Lumis, but today something about them felt even more magnetic.
The world around him played with its colors: the sky shifted from soft pink to deep purple, clouds smoothly changed shape, as if someone were painting them in real time. Below his feet flowed rivers of light, creating the sensation that the very ground beneath him was alive.
“It’s time to venture forth,” — Lumis thought, taking his first step onto the bridge.
He knew that today’s journey might change him forever. But instead of instilling fear, this realization only added to his confidence.
