Chapter 2: The Bridge of Crystals

Walking across the crystalline bridge, Lumis felt the energy shimmering beneath his feet. It seemed as if the bridge were alive—each of his movements elicited a soft glow that spread along the crystals, like ripples on the surface of water.

The distant towers now appeared closer, yet their true essence remained a mystery. Lumis paused for a moment, gazing at their astonishing structure.

They resembled enormous spirals composed of countless intertwined threads of light. Each thread changed color, shimmering from a gentle white to a deep sapphire hue.

Lumis wondered why these towers had never drawn the attention of others. The people living nearby seemed indifferent to them, as if they were merely a part of the landscape. But for him, they were something more—a mystery that promised answers.

The bridge ended on a platform covered in thick, silvery grasses. The wind caressed them, and they sang melodies that only added to the enchantment of the place. The platform seemed to live its own life: trees with glass leaves rustled, emitting a soft light, while flowers opened and closed in a rhythm reminiscent of breathing.

Lumis leaned down to touch one of the flowers. Its petals felt cool to the touch, and at that moment, an image appeared before his eyes—a brief flash of memories he had never had. Visions of journeys, of other worlds he couldn’t even imagine.

“What is this?” — he whispered, feeling his heart quicken.

— It is your first discoveries, — a voice said nearby.

Lumis turned sharply, but saw no one. The voice was warm and soft, as if belonging to the very place itself.

— Who’s there? — he asked, peering into the silvery grass and glowing trees.

— You are searching, and I am guiding you, — the voice replied, seemingly emanating from the space around him.

Lumis took a deep breath, trying to understand what was happening. There had always been something magical about this world, but for the first time, he felt as though that magic was beginning to speak to him.

His gaze returned to the towers. “If someone is guiding me, then these towers must be the key,” — he thought.

Taking his first step onto the silvery grass, Lumis felt his curiosity transform into determination. He set off toward the nearest tower, knowing that this time his journey would reveal something greater than just new landscapes.
