Chapter 23: The Path Through the Heart of Time

The gates before them slowly opened, revealing the path ahead. But beyond them, there were no familiar landscapes—no sky, no ground. Only an endless expanse where shimmering lines of time stretched in all directions, twisting and intertwining into intricate patterns. They flowed like rivers, but they had no beginning or end.

At the center of this space pulsed the Heart of Time—a colossal sphere made of pure chronological energy. It contracted and expanded as if breathing, its light constantly shifting shades, from crystalline blue to deep gold.

Emiren felt this place resonate within him. His connection to Time suddenly deepened, as if reality here did not simply follow laws but was waiting for him to decide what those laws should be.

— We haven’t just stepped inside Time, — he whispered. — We are standing at the threshold of its creation.

The Voice of the Creator

The moment they took their first step, the world around them began to change. Space itself spoke.

— You have entered where no mortal has ever stepped.

The voice came from everywhere and nowhere at once. It had no personality, yet it was filled with undeniable power.

— Are you seeking an answer?

— Yes, — Emiren replied.

— And what do you wish to know?

— Who created Time?

For a moment, there was silence.

Then the space around them exploded with memories that did not belong to them.

Those Who Came Before

Visions unfolded before them.

They saw how, long ago, an endless chaos had existed without boundaries. Beings without names drifted within it, their thoughts merging, creating and destroying simultaneously.

Then, three of them emerged.

They had no bodies, yet their presence was undeniable—like towering cliffs amidst a storm. They were called the Primordials, and they were the ones who decided that chaos must become order.

— We do not know their true names, — the voice in space no longer sounded commanding. Now, there was reverence in it, even fear. — But they created the Heart of Time and wove their essence into it. They were the first to decide that events must follow one another.

Flamen watched the vision closely.

— Do they still exist?

— No. To create Time, they became Time. They are no more, but their will lives on in every moment that unfolds.

Emiren clenched his fists.

— And if Time is broken?

The voice was silent.

— What happens if its foundation is changed?

The vision abruptly faded. The space trembled.

— Then you will become the one who decides the laws of reality.

The Risk of the Void

The Hollow stepped forward.

— If we destroy Time… what remains?

— What was before. Endless chaos.

— But that is not death, is it? — The Hollow did not back down. — It is the chance to create a new order?

— Yes. But can you control it? Can you withstand what has no boundaries, no predictability?

Flamen looked at Emiren.

— This is not just knowledge. It is a trial. If we go further, we can never remain as we were.

Emiren lifted his gaze to the Heart of Time.

He knew that the decision they made now would change everything.

— We must choose what to do next.

And before them, another choice appeared.
